South Lake Tahoe Deck & Fence was founded in 2017 by a locally based crew who understood that building a deck at 6,200 feet in the Sierra Nevada is not the same as building one at lower elevation. South Lake Tahoe gets over 100 inches of snow in a typical year, the ground freezes deep, and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency adds a layer of permitting review that most contractors outside the basin have never dealt with.
Since 2017, we have built custom decks, installed composite and Trex decking, repaired aging structures, and put up fences throughout South Lake Tahoe, Stateline, Zephyr Cove, Meyers, and the Carson Valley communities across the Nevada border. We know the neighborhood HOA requirements, the TRPA permit process, and the building department at the City of South Lake Tahoe well.
A lot of the homes around here are vacation rentals or second homes - properties that sit empty for months, then see heavy use when owners or guests arrive. We work with out-of-town owners regularly and communicate clearly when you cannot be on-site to check progress yourself. Reliable scheduling and straight updates are part of the job.
